Pettibon and the Peppers
This music video is a combination of two of my favorite things: Raymond Pettibon and The Red Hot Chili Peppers. Pettibon's illustrations are striking and stunning. I love his use of limited color and the way he renders image with such grit. I am also a fan of Pettibon's witty chicken scratch messages on his work. Combining Pettibon with the music of the Red Hot Chili Peppers is a dream come true for me.
Peter Gronquist

Gronquist is an artist out of the East Bay. He works with sculpture and paint. To me, his work is making a statement about how our culture glamorizes violence and he makes this statement in a very unique way that can't be ignored.
Alex Grey
Kissing, Alex Grey, 1983, oil on linen, 66 x 44 in.
alexgrey.comI first saw Grey's work on the cover of one of my favorite albums Tool's, Lateralus. The way Grey renders the human form is why I admire his work. Great understanding of the anatomy of the body is clearly displayed in his pieces. Grey's paintings are amazing and baffling to me. I lack detail and accuracy in my personal work, artist like Alex Grey, inspire me to create work with more complexity and more meaning.
